Great trigger fish

Anders from Sweden booked for 4 hours bottom fishing and 4 hours trolling. We left Calheta Marina at 10.00 a.m. and motored to the West end of the Island and anchored off the Western cliffs. The sea was a little choppy as we had Westerly winds and a strong Northerly current flowing However we commenced fishing and Anders son caught a nice trigger fish of 3,5 kgs.

They also caught some good Red Snapper, Barred Hog Fish, Bream and a Moray Eel. After the tide slackened off we set the boat up for trolling and did this for the remaining 3 hours or so until it was time to re-enter port. This part of the trip was to no avail. Still everybody had a good time and vowed to return again (for the 4th time) and fish again.

That elusive Blue Marlin will eventually be hooked and then we will see some fun. Generally the fishing is picking up and the water temperature is finally getting to where it should be, i.e. 24/25 degrees centigrade. So hopefully more and more Marlin will be here.
